Happy Mother’s Day! 😂
This thrifted laminate dresser got a quick and easy 1 day makeover. If you’re a beginner furniture flipper, this video’s for you!
Here’s how I did it 👇
1. The first thing you want to do whenever you’re working on a furniture flip is to CLEAN it. I used simple green and rinsed off the residue with some clean water.
2. Sanded with 150 grit to scuff up the smooth laminate. This will help your products adhere better.
3. I mixed primer with my DIY colour (blues, yellows, greys) to make this pretty green colour. Green sells super fast in my area, so whenever bills need to be paid, GREEN.
4. Paint 3 coats on, I used a foam roller to apply. Really work out the bubbles for a smooth finish.
5. I sprayed some polyurethane to seal it all in for protection. Don’t skip this step.
6. Touched up the legs with some matching brown paint.
7. Drilled new holes for my hardware and installed them.
That’s it! This took me maybe 3-4 hours total. This sold two days after listing for $300, giving me a profit of $275. Not bad for a one day furniture flip!
