What if someone would combine blindfolded runs and randomizers into one crazy speedrun? Bubzia did exactly that: Creating a new way of playing and speedrunning the Super Mario 64 Randomizer while blindfolded. How it all started? Summer Games Done Quick 2024...

The basic idea of the blindfolded randomizer SM64 run is inspired by blindfolded cubing, where the timer actually already starts on the memorization part and not only when blindfolded. Bubzia transfered this approach to random seeds and created a way to play the game by memorizing, routing, and performing random seeds, in the first half visually, then blindfolded.

What started out as a fun little idea, very soon became serious business, as a showcase of this run got accepted to the biggest speedrunning event in the world: SGDQ 2024.
