The Holocaust Center of Pittsburgh's portion of the Together We Remember 24-Hour Global Vigil.
After the amazing response to our virtual vigil with Together We Remember on April 5, our director, Dr. Lauren Apter Bairnsfather, is conducting one-on-one follow-up conversations with each of the vigil panelists to ask more questions received during Q+A and to continue the conversation about "What Does 'Never Again' Mean to You?".
Emmai Alaquiva and Luigi Toscano are two artists who created the exhibits that the Holocaust Center of Pittsburgh hosted in the past year. Emmai Alaquiva is the Emmy-award-winning creator of "OpticVoices: Roots"; Luigi Toscano is the internationally celebrated artist behind "Lest We Forget". Both use photography to impactful ends, and both of their exhibits received overwhelmingly positive feedback for their powerful messages and the conversations they facilitated. On Thursday, April 30, these two artists connected online from across the world--Emmai in Pittsburgh, PA, Luigi in Germany--to have a discussion about art and how it allows us to have difficult conversations.
