Chris Rock Roasts Will Smith With Slap Jokes: ‘Everybody Called Him a B—- And Who Did He Hit? Me’ Almost a year after the infamous Oscars slap, comedian Chris Rock is finally addressing what happened in his live Netflix special, “Selective Outrage.”
After an hour of new material, the comedian finally dove into what thousands of audience members had been waiting to hear, calling Will Smith a “b*tch” around seven times. “You all know what happened to me, getting smacked by Shug Smith, everybody knows, everybody f'ing knows,” Rock said. “And people are like ‘Did it hurt?’ It still hurts. I got ‘Summertime’ ringing in my ears.”
But despite all the pressure from the press Rock is adamant that you won’t see him dissecting it on a talk show. “I’m not a victim baby, you will never see me on Oprah or Gayle crying. You will never see it…. It’s never going to happen. F--- that, I took that s--- like Pacquiao.”
The comedian went on to reveal that the title of his show was also inspired by the slap, “Will Smith practices Selective Outrage.” Rock said. “Everybody knows I had nothing to do with that. I didn’t have any ‘entanglements.'” Referencing the Red Table talk between Smith and his wife. “His wife was f'ing her son’s friend. I normally would not talk about this s----… I have no idea why two talented people would do something that lowdown. We’ve all been cheated on, everybody in here been cheated on. None of us has ever been interviewed by the person who cheated on us on television… Why the fuck would you do that s----? She hurt him way more than he hurt me. Everybody in the world called him a b----. I tried to call the motherf----- I tried to call that man and give him my condolences, he didn’t pick up for me.” The comedian then went on to list off all the people in Hollywood who called Smith a “b-----” after the aforementioned interview including “The View,” “The Breakfast Club,” “Drink Champs” and so on. “Everybody called him a b----- and who did he hit? Me.”

August Alsina made headlines in June 2020 about his past relationship with Jada Pinkett Smith.
In an interview that month with Angela Yee on YouTube, the singer claimed he had a relationship with Pinkett Smith, whom he met through her and Will Smith's son Jaden, back in 2015.
"I totally gave myself to that relationship for years of my life, and I truly and really, really deeply love and have a ton of love for her," he said. "I devoted myself to it, I gave my full self to it — so much so to the point that I can die right now and be okay with knowing that I truly gave myself to somebody."
On the July 10, 2020, episode of Red Table Talk, Pinkett Smith and her husband sat down to discuss her relationship with Alsina, which she revealed took place years ago, while she and Smith were briefly separated.
"Four and a half years ago … I started a friendship with August and we actually became really, really good friends," she said. "And it all started with him just needing some help, me wanting to help his health, his mental state."
"We found all those different resources to help pull him through and from there you and I were going through a very difficult time," she said, later clarifying that the pair "decided that we were going to separate for a period of time."
Although Pinkett Smith denied that her husband had given Alsina "permission" to carry on the relationship, explaining that "the only person that can give permission in that circumstance is myself," she clarified that she thought the singer was trying "to make it clear he's not a homewrecker because he's not."
