Here’s a few less less obvious details on nutrition labels you might be skipping:
1️⃣ Ingredient Order
Ingredients are listed in order of quantity, from highest to lowest
If processed sugar or excess preservatives are top of the list, you may want to consider other options
2️⃣ Serving Sizes
If you've never weighed your food, you'd be surprised how much one serving is for most foods
One serving might look low in calories but the serving size could be small
3️⃣ Daily Nutritional Values
Pay attention to trans fat, saturated fat and added sugars
A healthy guideline as a generality is to have NO trans fat if possible and to keep saturated fat intake within 10% of your total daily calories
This is a generality for most of the population
Also look at the added sugars
An item might seem good at first glance but we often neglect to monitor the added sugars
What you put in your body dictates how you feel physically and mentally
So keep these tips in mind and be sure to follow for more practical fitness content!
