The Honey Bee Research Centre of the University of Guelph helps honey bees continue their essential pollination activities. The Centre's role in bee health research and teaching has become increasingly important and recognized as honey bee health declines. The interest in the hobby and profession of beekeeping, to protect these important pollinators, has surged exponentially. Now, more than ever, the Centre is vital. But the increasing demands on the Centre's services have outgrown the current facility.
For the future of honey bee health, we are creating a new, iconic facility focused on bee health education, research, advocacy and outreach. The facility will be a destination; a place of excellence in research, design and function.
