A fairly rare species to find on game ranches, the Markhor is native to Western Asia and the Himalayan Mountain region. A skilled climber, the Markhor can literally walk up the steepest cliff face you can imagine. The Markhor is still hunted in its native land, but there are several ranches that have huntable populations of Markhor right here in Texas. Though they are a fairly rare animal to find on game ranches, THL manages to conduct 2 or 3 Markhor hunts a year on average. Classified as a "Super Exotic", the Markhor is an absolutely beautiful animal that should have a place in any serious hunter's trophy room.
