The tactical reload is one of those things that we, the defensive firearms community, waste tons of time debating. Should we train them, practice them, where do they fit in with reality, etc? There is no need to overcomplicate it, but like many things, we do. No one wants to run out of ammunition mid-fight, so we find opportunities to conduct tactical reloads and replace less full mags with full mags in the gun during moments when time and security present us the option to be a little more prepared for the next encounter.
