Jawa 7 is the first Ultra-supercritical (USC) Power Plant to operate in Indonesia, Unit 1’s Commercial Operation Date was on December 13, 2019, it has a high plant efficiency at ±45.04% with the largest installed MW capacity and the latest technology in Indonesia. Jawa 7 consumes low and medium calorific value coal ranging from 4000 to 4600 kcal/kg HHV (typically 4348 kcal/kg) which is widely available throughout Indonesia. Jawa 7 uses the largest medium-speed coal pulverizer and the largest lignite boiler in the world with a large capacity (with an output of 3100 ton/hour and a weight of 37,000 ton) that adopts the spiral water wall and rifled tubes technology which can increase the safety and reliability of the boiler. The project implements the concepts of "green power generation, active revolution" and "addition for energy conservation and environmental protection, and subtraction for system design". Concerning the coastal wetland ecology, the coverage rate of mangroves along the coast during the infrastructure construction period increased by more than 30%. Partnering with the experienced main operation and maintenance company Guohua Taidian Pembangkitan Jawa Bali (PT GHPJB), Jawa 7 has become the world's leading power plant.
