It is common to hear the proverb “The proof of the Pudding”, but there is more to it. When we hear the phrase “The proof of the Pudding”, it reminds us that it is necessary to “have a go” before we can make a judgement.
The word “proof” here means “test”. It is too early to put my worries on things that we have not tried.
“The proof is in the pudding” has a similar meaning. Testing and trying can see whether “the pudding” is good or bad, workable or unworkable.
