You can summon Sirris of the Sunless Realms to help you fight this enemy. Summon can be found just in front of the fog door on the left. Take care not to let her take the brunt of the aggression as she can only heal herself three to five times during the fight and can easily be killed before the second phase actually begins, leaving you to solo the hardest part of the fight.
You can summon Orbeck of Vinheim to help you fight this enemy. You must have given him all 4 Scrolls and have bought all the sorceries that he sells. Summon sign can be found to the left, at the top of the stairs before the double doors to the fog door
This boss is not an optional boss fight.

Attacks deals Strike Damage, Thrust Damage, Standard Damage, Fire Damage and Magic Damage.
Weak to Frostbite, Lightning Damage and Magic Damage.
Resistant to Dark Damage.
Immune to Poison/Toxic.
Parryable: Yes, but it will not provide a chance to riposte. It only stuns him for a while. He takes extra damage during the stun animation. Also, parrying is very difficult, as player has to parry the arm using sword, not the sword itself.
Can be poise-broken, what allows to perform a riposte.
Combat Information - Lothric
Present only during 2nd phase - killing him ends the battle, regardless of Lorian's HP left. If the player fails that phase, they must also repeat first. If Lorian dies first, Lothric revives him with a bit shorter HP pool.

Weak to Physical-type damage.
Resistant to Dark Damage.

Lorian's "Soul Spear" attack can be spell parried, but timing has to be perfect.
Is affected by Vow of Silence and nullifies all of it's offensive magic except for the Wrath of the Gods revive spell.
Can't be staggered or riposted.
