I just wanted to take a couple minutes to talk about nutrition labels and how to read them. This knowledge is useful for everyone, whether you are dieting, trying to gain weight or just plain eat healthy.
The basics of nutrition include knowing how to read a nutrition facts label. This includes calories, carbs (sugar, glucose), fats (saturated, unsaturated, trans), protein content. It includes iron, potassium, magnesium, calcium, phosphate. It includes vitamin A, C, D, E and K. Also includes all B vitamins including Vitamin B1 (thiamine), Vitamin B2 (riboflavin), Vitamin B3 (niacin), Vitamin B5 (pyridoxine), Vitamin B6 (pyridonic acid), Vitamin B9 (folate) and Vitamin B12 (cobalamin).
