When Canibus was an up and coming, ferocious emcee who was impressing the rap world on his guest features and radio appearances, he had an early opportunity to feature on the Lost Boyz 1997 sophomore album Love, Peace and Nappiness. Canibus was featured on 2 songs. One of those 2 songs was "Beasts from the East," which also featured Redman and A+ (the NY A+). This Canibus verse made a tremendous impression on the rap world and put him on a lot of people's radar. In this video, we look at the early-career of Canibus, his career as a whole, and examine his guest verse on "Beasts from the East."

A couple of other great early featured verses by Canibus include Common's "Making a Name For Ourselves," Wyclef's "Gone Til November" remix, LL Cool J's "4,3,2,1" (which led to the LL Cool J vs Canibus beef), and Nas's late-90s group The Firm's "Desperados."
