On today’s episode of WhiskefyTV, I’m tasting Yellow Rose Outlaw Bourbon that is picked up from Nicks Wine Merchants.
Take a look at these fast facts on this bottling.
Bottle: Yellow Rose Outlaw Bourbon
Price: $90🇦🇺
Proof: 92 proof (46%ABV)
Age: NAS
Notes: Yellow Rose was created in 2010 in the beautiful Houston TX (not Austin, my bad), launched in 2012 and opened the distillery in 2014. Of their core products is this and their rye.
As I showcase this bottle to y’all, it makes it feel like a premium product, wooden lid with cork and a leather-esk tag that snaps around the neck of the bottle. Really makes it feel high end.
I pour this dram out into a glass and the corn hits your nose from the get go, super sweet, like candy corn. This mash is 100% corn so you know what you are getting into. This isn’t oily, swills like water almost. You get a touch of vanilla and some oakiness thrown in to finish it off.
I really struggled to pull much more from this but this is some that has been scored highly so I’ll hit it back in a few weeks.
So sit down, pour yourself a dram and enjoy!
