Shark Race R Pro Helmet Review [ Ссылка ]
The Shark Race R Pro thoroughbred race helmet from Shark has been majorly updated for 2013 with several impressive new features. For 2013, the Race R Pro has an all new interior that improves fit, feel and noise. The new design of the neck roll closes off the bottom of the helmet that helps reduce air noise under the helmet. The cheek pads are more plush and contour the face and the comfort liner helps fill in gaps between the EPS liner and the head. The resulting new liner system reduced the noise levels by 4.5dBa, which is equivalent to dividing the sound by 4. Très Bien, Shark! The material used in the liner is now made from bamboo that is naturally sweat wicking and anti-microbial and is even a sustainable resource. The fit is improved with a more intermediate oval fitting shape that should accommodate more riders. The Race R Pro still uses a premium carbon fiber / aramid matrix shell that is strong, lightweight, and low profile. The design of the shell coupled with the double blade rear spoiler result in a low coefficient of drag and less fatigue for the rider. The EPS liner, called the Shark-fin system allows for major air flow through the helmet and acts as internal crumple zones to protect the head and slow the rate of impact. The Class 1 optically correct faceshield is basically S.W.A.T team ready with it's 4.25mm thickness that tapers off to 3mm along the sides. The Race R Pro also has the ability to install a Sharktooth BT unit to allow the racer to communicate to his pit crew. We were a fan of the original Race R Pro and the new version is definitely Tant Meiux!
