A GATE problem has been discussed in this video. The problem involves recycle with multiple reactions taking place in the reactor. Further the problem is complicated as degree of freedom is not zero anywhere. A systematic approach to the problem has been discussed making use of the extent of reactions. Since there are two reactions, so two extents of reaction have been defined. The amount of fresh feed and the single pass conversion is calculated. The problem is from 1996 GATE paper and interested students can read the problem statement from there.
