The Wolfpack Full Review Transcript:
The Wolf Pack is a documentary that is an extraordinary melding of psychology and cinema in the true story of the Angulo family and specifically six brothers who weren't allowed to leave their apartment on Manhattan's Lower East Side for nearly 15 years and spent their time obsessively reenacting and filming the movies that they'd fallen in love with its how they got through the experience so their mother and father had met in Peru on the hippie trial their father's Peruvian their mother's from the midwest and they were hippies and wanted to take them out of the system they were on their way to Scandinavia they ran out of money on Manhattan's Lower East Side and they were so terrified of the world outside they didn't let their kids out so the six boys a little strange looking are fascinatingly erudite and clear thinking and savvy far more than you'd think although their neuroses shine through the cracks the father and the mother brilliantly both appear and the father is a much more complex character than the monster you assume and the films that they recreate like the story itself are both heartbreaking imaginative and really powerful
