This instrumental metal song came out of nowhere and I wrote and recorded it within just two days.

It's inspired by my two earliest influences from when I started playing guitar back in 1989 - Metallica and Joe Satriani.

I recorded all of the guitar tracks with the new Blackstar HT Venue MK III amplifier. And everything was miked through the matching Blackstar 4x12 slanted cabinet (indeed a killer combination)!

I'll be making a FULL demo going through all of the features of the Blackstar HT Venue MK III half stack soon - this will be the next video after this one!

Here are some more details on how I recorded this song.
First, I used the Shure SM57 to mic the Blackstar 4x12 cabinet for all guitars.
I recorded two separate rhythm guitar tracks and hard-panned each (you can hear the guitar harmonies in some parts).
I did the same for the clean rhythms that you hear for a short time
My lead track was up the middle
For bass, I used the plug-in I've been using forever, Studio Devil's Bass Amp Pro with my 5-string LTD bass
For drums, I just used some metal loops from EZ Drummer's Metal Machine and Death Metal packs combined (if I ever decide to release this song professionally as a single or on an album, I will hire a real drummer)
