(Proportional-Integral-Derivative) tuning is a crucial step in optimizing the performance of a 3D printer, particularly for maintaining stable temperatures in the hotend and heatbed. We will use Pronterface, a G-code interface, for "talking" to our printer.

eSTEPs are the number of "steps" that your filament feeding device takes to extrude a given amount of filament. If this number is off you will have under- or over-extruded prints.
