The Akkala Citadel plays a major role in the lore of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
It's a brilliant example of environmental storyelling: thought to be impenetrable, it was Hyrule’s last stand against the corrupted Guardians’ assault launched by Calamity Ganon.
The last trailer of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom subtly suggests some differences in the layout of the Akkala Citadel, that could be a very important, rebuilt and revamped location... maybe even a new dungeon?
