The Baby Boomer retirement situation is far more serious than is being made up to be. Every day, thousands more Baby Boomers reach retirement age, yet fewer than half of them are financially prepared to do so. By the end of the decade, according to economists, this catastrophe would have rendered Social Security insolvent, severely damaged the economy and stock market, overburdened our healthcare system, and left a significant employment gap. In the end, it will negatively affect everyone of our lives, and what is most concerning about it is that older Americans believe their circumstances will deteriorate even worse in the near and long term.
