My name is Matt and I am a tattoo artist. My YouTube channel @inkterview is about the legacy of my craft, a channel by a tattooer for tattooers.

This is my first series of interviews. Through interviews I want to give tattooers an opportunity to tell their own history themselves and to be seen, heard and known for future generations.

As tattooers we have not been the best historians at preserving our legacies. Few care or even know about what we went through except us.

So much has already been forgotten of the era of the legendary tattoo wizards from long ago and it is my desire to preserve as much knowledge as I can through the use of modern day technology.

This is my way of giving back to the profession that has been so good to me and provided me with so many opportunities. I hope that present and future generations benefit from the words of our fellow tattooers.

Today we are at Tahiti Felix's Master's Tattoo in San Diego, Ca. The shop is a true mecca of tattoo history that is soon to celebrate it's 75th year in business. The artists here at Masters have been gracious enough to allow me to record interviews with them, and let them tell the story of their history themselves.

About me:

My name is Matt and I'm a tattooer with 16 years of experience. I work out of Final Sin Tattoo Studio in Pleasant Hill, Ca which I've been there for the last 10 years. I do many things but mostly I do Geometric stuff and Anime styles.

I'm just a regular guy who knows how to use technology well slightly better than most. So I'm hoping to use that to help preserve the legacy of tattooing as a craft.
