And then with a fireplace proposal in York, the wedding planning was set in motion. The destination? Detroit, where the bride hails from. The summer fête took place in the Detroit Institute of Arts, where the couple acknowledged their unlikely journey, thanked their guests from traveling from 14 different countries to celebrate, and kicked off married life with personal touches, cultural traditions, and lots of love.
