Moorhen chicks hatch from eggs that their parents carefully incubate for about 3 weeks. Once they hatch, these fluffy chicks are ready to explore their watery world, following their parents around and learning how to find food. Even though they're tiny, Moorhen chicks are pretty independent and can leave the nest just hours after hatching. Their parents keep a close eye on them, protecting them from any dangers and teaching them important skills.
