The head of the UK's National Cyber Security Centre has said that a Russian group of cyber hackers are responsible for the ransomware attack which affected several London hospitals. The attack on the pathology services firm Synnovis forced the affected hospitals to declare a ‘critical incident’ yesterday, leading operations to be cancelled and emergency patients diverted.
