Get it hot! When it starts to discolor, use some heat resistant gloves or tongs and paper towels or a dry rag to wipe a super thin layer of oil on it. Allow it to smoke off and repeat as many times as you like. We used the Blackstone seasoning and conditioner product and heat resistant gloves. You can also keep cooking on it to get it good and black.
