Building resilient semiconductor supply chains is a top national security concern for the United States. To achieve this, the U.S. is pursuing a two part policy.
One part is expanding the use of industrial policy, meaning increased spending to grow domestic production. The other is pursuing alternative economic frameworks to identify countries that can play a bigger role in the supply chain.
