Tropical storm Beryl is forecast to intensify as it approaches the Texas coast Sunday. Hurricane watches are in effect for portions of the lower and middle Texas coast.

Severe storms are possible across the central Plains today and tonight. Damaging winds and very large hail are the primary threats.

Extreme heat will continue to impact portions of the eastern and western U.S. through Saturday. Heat indices could exceed 110° at some locations.
