COLBERT, Wash. — A woman was seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash on Highway 395 eight miles north of Spokane near West Fender Road.
According to Washington State Patrol, an 85-year-old woman was driving north on Highway 395 when she tried to merge to the right. WSP says the woman went onto the shoulder, overcorrected and lost control, rolling over multiple times.
WSP says the woman was wearing a seatbelt. WSP says they do not know whether drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash, and WSP says the cause of the crash was excessive speed.
WSP says the northbound lane of Highway 395 in the area was blocked as crews investigated the area. WSP said traffic was being detoured via local roads by fire.
