Trap speeds were measured at the half-mile mark. This run's top speed was 178.7 MPH, and my fastest speed of the day was 179.4 MPH. Lost that race to a guy riding a motorcycle. (Actually, I lost multiple races to that guy. And I enjoyed every one of them.)
The Plaid can definitely go faster than 179 MPH. I just need a longer airport runway...
Does anyone know of a verified faster speed for a stock Model S Plaid? I think this may be a new record, if you exclude the Canadian company that jailbroke a Plaid and took it to 216 mph.
