250-350g mackerel (sliced thinly with the skin on)
100-200g cream cheese/ creme fraiche or mascarpone
2-3 shallots (thinly sliced)
1 lemon (squeezed - can also zest)
1 fresh ginger (thinly sliced)
2 garlic cloves (thinly sliced) or 1 tsp garlic paste/ puree
1 tsp dijon mustard
2 tsp chilli flakes
20-30g dill (chopped)
pinch cayene pepper
sea salt & black pepper (seasoning)
Serve on toast or crackers (preferrably sourdough) & garnish (dill or parsley).
