Protesters have been gathering at Whipsiderry beach near Newquay in Cornwall this morning to voice their opposition to plans for work which they say will destroy a precious wildlife habitat.

Among those turning out was Love Island star and local surfer Lucie Donlan - we spoke to her about why the beach means so much to locals.
