The Yellow-fronted Canary was imported from Africa in the 1960s. It has become established only on O`ahu and the Big Island. Most sightings are from leeward areas. Adult males are greenish gray above and bright yellow below. The crown and back of the head are gray. Yellow and black markings on the face form a large dark X when viewed from the front. This species travels in small flocks and feeds on insects both on the ground and in trees.
