Today Ben Sless taught me about an easy to use tool for decompiling the code generated when you compile Clojure Code: clj-java-decompilier. It is very, very handy when you need to get some piece of code to run as fast as possible.
It helped me find some extra speed for my Eratosthenes prime sieving hobby. Because when optimizing for speed, it is necessary to measure. And one important measure is what your code compiles to. You can help the compiler at those places in your code where it gets important.
