പഴം പോള - മലബാർ സ്പെഷ്യൽ സ്നാക്ക് / Banana Milk Pola / Banana Milk cake / കായപോള
Kaipola is a delicious sweet dish made with ripe banana.Kaipola or steamed plantain cake is an authentic Malabar dish which is often served as an evening snack and also during Ramadan. Ripe plantain when shallow fried tastes delicious and will impart the needed sugar to this dish. It tastes rich and extremely yummy. Whenever I have plantains I am tempted to make this and I serve for breakfast or as an evening snack.
Ingredients:
3 Banana (ripe) cut into cubes
4 egg
1 cup sugar
1 tsp cardamom powder
10 cashew nuts raisins
3 tablespoons ghee
Instruction :
In a frying pan add ghee and fry broken cashews and raisins.keep aside.
Fry the banana cubes in the same ghee and let it cool for some time.
Beat eggs and sugar until frothy and add cardamom powder.
Mix fried banana and egg mixture together and also add nuts and raisins.
Grease a non stick pan with one spoon ghee and pour the mixture ,cover with a lid.Cook about 20 minutes over a low flame.
Cook both the side perfectly.
Remove from flame and cut it into pieces.
