Watch Birgit as she demonstrates how to print with leaves with a Gelli Arts® printing plate. She demonstrates three different techniques. First she creates a bunch of colorful backgrounds with the new Gelli Arts® premium acrylic paints. Then using darker colors, she covers the plate with paint, lays leaves on top of the paint and covers with paper and presses with her hands. She then removes the leaves and places one of her printed backgrounds on top of the leaf prints and pulls the print. In her second technique she applies darker colors to the plate, then places her leaves on top and covers and presses with her hands over the leaves. She then removes the leaves and prints on the same background she just removed. In her third technique she applies bright colors to the plate, places leaves on top of the paint, then pulls a print by pressing with her hands. She removes the leaves and then applies a thin layer of white paint to the plate and pulls the entire print. It's gorgeous!! We can't wait for the leaves to come back so we can keep printing leaves!!
