1940 - Khaksars launched Civil Disobedience Movement from Wazir Khan and Sunehri/Golden Mosques, Lahore (Punjab)
In the early 1940s, the Punjab Government imposed restrictions on the activities of Allama Mashriqi’s Khaksar Tehrik. The Khaksars rejected these restrictions and decided to launch a Civil Disobedience Movement. Wazir Khan and Sunehri/Golden Mosques in Lahore were major locations from which the Khaksars continued their Civil Disobedience Movement.
