Jethro Tull's band lineup is Ian Anderson - vocals, flute, and acoustic guitar; Martin Barre - electric guitar; John Glascock - bass guitar; John Evan - keyboards; David Palmer - keyboards; Barriemore Barlow - drums and percussion. Jethro Tull was live at Golders Green Hippodrome, London, England on February 10, 1977. The rock concert in support of Jethro Tull's 1977 studio album Songs From The Wood was broadcast live by BBC - Sight & Sound.
Arrived in January 2022, The Zealot Gene is Jethro Tull's first new studio album in almost 20 years. Ian Anderson chose to release The Zealot Gene under the Jethro Tull moniker, in part, as a solid to his bandmates.
“The guys who are on The Zealot Gene, they’ve been playing with me for about 15 years on average, and that makes it the longest continuous lineup of Jethro Tull,” Anderson says. “And yet, in spite of doing hundreds and hundreds of concerts as Jethro Tull live onstage, they had not been collectively on an album released simply as Jethro Tull. So right at the beginning of recording this, I thought I should make this a band album. It’ll be a Jethro Tull album and the guys can at least say, ‘Oh yeah, I was on this Jethro Tull album.’ Source: Goldminemag.com
