Through work rooted in neuroscience, Ludmer Centre researchers will discuss chronic stress and depression, and their impacts on the development of the brain. About the Speakers
Dr. Celia Greenwood, PhD, Senior Investigator at Lady Davis Institute for Medical Research, James McGill Professor at McGill University, and Co-Director, Ludmer Centre for Neuroinformatics and Mental Health
As one of the Co-Directors of the Ludmer Centre, which focuses on the integration of brain imaging, genetic, and epigenetic data to better understand mental health, Dr. Greenwood will bring a great deal of breadth to the role of moderator.
Dr. Rosemary Bagot, Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology and Principal Investigator at the Ludmer Centre for Neuroinformatics & Mental Health
Dr. Bagot will share key findings on how stress shapes the brain in adulthood, based on her work studying these biological phenomena in several animal models.
Dr. Patricia Silveira, Associate Professor, Department of Psychiatry at McGill University and Co-director of the Ludmer Centre for Neuroinformatics & Mental Health
Dr. Silveira will discuss how individual differences inform the risk for mental illness, based on her work studying specific biomarkers detected during development.
