Formula 2 Boats Racing Final of the Bradenton River Regatta – February 8, 2020. Dustin Terry from Louisiana overcame the troubles he had with his boat during the heats, took the lead from the first lap and demonstrated amazing driving to take the checkered flag.

They can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 5 seconds and reach maximum speed of 120 mph. Spectacular when they take off from dock together, amazing in the turns, and lightning fast on the straightaway. Offshore POWERBOAT Racing | SUPER BOAT Miss Geico Rolls Over | Sarasota Grand Prix 2019
Class One Division is comprised of the biggest and fastest race boats in the world. All boats in the new division weigh 12,000 pounds and are up to 50 feet long, with identical twin turbo race engines sealed and governed by Mercury Racing to ensure fairness. Most are made of carbon, Kevlar and S-glass for high performance, and are equipped with F-16 jet canopies. Up to 1,200 horsepower and max speed of more than 160 mph. Such monster power needs a crew of 2 people – a driver who controls the boat’s steering and a throttleman responsible for operating the engines. Amazing, right? I can only imagine the adrenaline rush in the cockpit.
