The duo Jadis 300B/Devore O/93 has an intrinsic musicality that is hard to match. Their way of presenting music is disarmingly natural.
Contrary to what I thought based on my review of the Rossini Apex (click to read), the original Bartók sounded better and more musically textured than the new Apex, which was more dynamic and informative, especially in the clarity of the mid-high registers.
The only justification I can find, since the Rossini Apex proved to be much better than the original, is that the original Bartók was a demonstration model, with many hours of "burn-in", while the Bartók Apex is a novelty that just arrived at IMACUSTICA-PORTO (European debut just like the Magico M2) and still needs some "burn-in".
