In South LA along the Vermont, Normandie and Western Corridors from Washington to Slauson exists a large Belizean population from Central America, that live among the black and Hispanic population. Often times they are identified as black or Hispanic, but they have become part of LA gang culture going back to the late 1970s.
Most of the Crip, Blood and Hispanic gangs in this part of South LA have Belizean members. Stretch immigrated to Los Angeles as a boy and joined Fruit Town Brims along with other Belizeans in the neighborhood.
