Assess for lumbar radiculopathy
-- PATIENT POSITION –
Supine
-- TECHNIQUE --
► Assess non-symptomatic side first
► Place one hand at the patient's ankle and one at the distal thigh
► While keeping the knee extended, begin to passively flex the patient's hip
► If your patient begins to complain of pain, make sure to differentiate if it is symptom reproduction or a stretch of their hamstrings
► Repeat the test on the opposite side
-- POSITIVE TEST --
Reproduction of the patient's symptoms
