[ Ссылка ] - The phlebology unit in Biosalud is committed to treating varicose vains, venous insufficiency and all other venous problems.
Different techniques are used in phlebology. Firstly, diagnostic techniques in which the blood flow in veins is measured to see whether there is a blockage in any areas of your body, especially in lower extremities. The tone of the veins is also assessed. An EcoDoppler and a complete study of venous circulation will be carried out to determine exactly what is happening and what is the best solution for each concrete case, being various types:
Firstly, traditional sclerosis, with polidocanol or any other substance which will close the veinous wall. The organism will create new veins or use previously unused veins , so that venous circulation will be restored.
Another technique is foam treatment. Medicinal foam is generated and introduced into veins. It is completely painless. The aim of this treatment is again to close damaged veins so that the organism turns to alternative veins to achieve venous return.
An alternative technique is"Closer Fast Vein", an up-to-date system applied only in very few centres in Europe, involving the application of radio frequency to the interior part the veins. Although this technique is practised in a surgery theatre, only sedation is necessary, not general anaesthesia. A catheter is introduced, attached to a device which produces radio frequency, discharged progressively, every 7 cm. This treatment is also painless and closes damaged veins. This method is useful for thicker veins previously diagnosed in need of surgery.
Today, surgical operations on veins are almost obsolete, as results have not always proved to be positive. These new systems give better results.
