Ankle rotations, also known as ankle circles, can help restore ankle strength, improve mobility & flexibility. This is a great seated exercise to perform before & after a workout to prevent injury.
Dr. Michael White, physical therapist, shows us how to perform ankle circles to stretch the tendons & ligaments in your joints. Follow these steps to get started:
Step 1:
Sit up straight & rest your ankle on the opposite knee. Rotate your ankle in circles.
Step 2:
Perform fifteen rotations clockwise and fifteen rotations counterclockwise. Point your toes for an additional stretch."
