Transverse Abdominis Muscle extends between the ribs and the pelvis, wrapping around the trunk from front to back. The fibres of this muscle run horizontally, just like a back support belt might be worn. In this way, along with providing postural support, the transverse abdominal muscle helps to contain and support the organs located inside the trunk.
So, if you are someone who recently have given birth or is in a postpartum stage or simply looking for core strengthening, this is a good exercise to strengthen that deep core muscles.
