Lukas Van Ness - 2023 NFL Edge Rusher Prospect Highlights. Van Ness had a great combine and earned a lot of attention from NFL Teams. Some people believe he may go in the top 10, but I had a hard time putting together a short highlight reel on him. There are flashes of athleticism, and for the video I will only be showing positive highlights. The stuff I left out though, theres a lot of plays where pressure comes from other areas and it just ends with van ness making the play, and a lot of plays where clearly hes going through the motions and not keeping an eye on the ball. Even in this video, at the :40 second mark you can see how hard he bites on the run, he hits the RB, before realizing that the QB still has the ball. I would be a bit weary on drafting Van Ness if I was the Chicago Bears. Too much risk for a team that has too many needs, let someone else take the shot on him.
