Pabllo Vittar e Liberatum se unem ao ACNUR em apoio aos refugiados
Ícone queer conversa com refugiado LGBTIQIA+ apoiado pela Agência da ONU para Refugiados em novo episódio de campanha humanitária global da Liberatum para ajudar quem mais precisa durante a pandemia de COVID-19
Como parte do projeto humanitário global “Lifesaving Conversations” (Conversas que salvam vidas, em tradução livre) e das celebrações em torno do Dia Mundial do Refugiado (20 de Junho), a organização internacional Liberatum lança nesta quarta-feira (24/6), com apoio da Agência da ONU para Refugiados (ACNUR), um episódio em vídeo sobre os desafios de pessoas LGBTIQIA+ e refugiadas no Brasil e no mundo, especialmente em tempos de pandemia.
Em conversa emocionante e poderosa com a drag queen e cantora Pabllo Vittar, o assistente de laboratório e refugiado venezuelano Elvis Messias fala sobre a realidade de seu país de origem, as barreiras que encontrou quando chegou ao Brasil e como o ACNUR contribuiu para que hoje tenha uma vida digna aqui e já consiga, inclusive, ajudar outros em situação similar. Pabllo Vittar, por sua vez, conta e compartilha suas vivências como pessoa queer.
O projeto Lifesaving Conversations tem como objetivo fornecer apoio emergencial financeiro, de alimentos e itens de higiene pessoal ao redor do mundo durante a crise da COVID-19. Nesse contexto, a Liberatum decidiu apoiar o ACNUR por ser a principal organização mundial que está na linha de frente contra a COVID-19 para salvar vidas e proteger pessoas que foram forçadas a abandonar suas casas devido a violência, conflitos e perseguição.
Com o início da pandemia, o ACNUR reforçou suas atividades e programas, trabalhando de forma intensa para enfrentar a crise. Entre suas principais ações estão: ajudar a construir e equipar um hospital de campanha no Norte do País, que aumenta a capacidade de atendimento a pessoas refugiadas e brasileiros; apoiar as autoridades locais no monitoramento de fronteira e abrigamento; fornecer informações para as famílias sobre medidas de prevenção; e distribuir kits de higiene e limpeza para quem mais precisa.
O lançamento deste episódio – o segundo lançado pela Liberatum no Brasil – ocorre no mês em que se celebra o Dia Mundial do Refugiado e o orgulho LGBTQIA+. O link para mais informações e doações é: [ Ссылка ]

Pabllo Vittar and Liberatum join UNHCR in support of refugees in Brazil
Queer icon talks to refugee LGBTIQIA + supported by the UN Refugee Agency in a new episode of a Liberatum global humanitarian campaign to help those most in need during the COVID-19 pandemic
Brasilia, June 24th – As part of the global humanitarian project “Lifesaving Conversations” and celebrations around World Refugee Day (June 20), the international organization Liberatum launches this Wednesday (6/24) , with support from the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR), a video episode about the challenges of LGBTIQIA + people and refugees in Brazil and in the world, especially in times of pandemic.
In an exciting and powerful conversation with drag queen and Brazilian singer Pabllo Vittar, Venezuelan laboratory assistant and refugee Elvis Messias talks about the reality of his country of origin, the barriers he encountered when he arrived in Brazil and how UNHCR has contributed so that today he has a decent life here and already manage to help others in a similar situation. Pabllo Vittar, in turn, tells and shares his experiences as a queer person.
The Lifesaving Conversations project aims to provide emergency financial, food and personal care support around the world during the COVID-19 crisis. In this context, Liberatum decided to support UNHCR as the leading global organization that is on the front lines against COVID-19 to save lives and protect people who were forced to flee their homes due to violence, conflict and persecution.
With the start of the pandemic, UNHCR strengthened its activities and programs, working intensely to face the crisis. Among its main actions are: helping to build and equip a field hospital in the North of the country, which increases the capacity to serve refugees and Brazilians; support local authorities in border and shelter monitoring; provide information to families on preventive measures; and distribute hygiene and cleaning kits to those who need it most.
