About This Preset: Todays #PresetADay preset is built around the Herbie CH2+ amp model, which is based on a Diezel Herbert Head. A fair bit of low end has been removed going into the preamp with a 5 band EQ with a touch of output boost to further drive the amp. Solo tones are acheived with the use of an Esoteric RCB Drive block model with with a decent amount of output and all the way rolled back drive.. This preset is setup for direct to FOH / FRFR / Studio use at the same time as feeding a poweramp and cabinet. For best results use a Solid State power amp amp to take advantage of the Fractal Audio power amp breakup simulation. We've rolled back on the Amps Low Resonance in the Speaker tab, and added a tiny bit more master volume to firther round out the sound .
The Cabinet IRs used in this months #PresetADay have been taken from our brand NEW BStar V30 Cabinet IR pack which includes 315 unique IRs for the AXE FX II / XL / AX8 as well as formats for the Kemper (KPA) and standard mono .wav IRs.Each presets includes 2 Scenes that cover Rhythm and Lead tones.
