HEIC files were a mystery to me. Before I upgraded my iPhone 7 to System 11, all my images were JPGs that I could transfer to my Mac and open in Photoshop. But then I upgraded my iPhone to system 11 and suddenly, the photo files were this thing called .HEIC.
As someone who uses her iPhone to take pictures to use in blog posts etc all the time - I was really frustrated that all of a sudden, I was unable to open these weird .HEIC files in Photoshop.
Until I figured out how to do it, in desperation, I was actually taking screenshots of the HEIC images opened in Preview! And then I was able to open the screenshots in Photoshop but of course, that wasn't a long term solution.
So I used my head and figured out the right way to do it. It was so SIMPLE!
So if you have been wondering how to convert HEIC images to JPG on a Mac to open in Photoshop - watch this quick film and you will see how easy it is with no conversion software and no cost!
